Hi! My name is Alex Qualm and I am 15 years old. My birthday is April 17, and I was born in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Currently I live out in the country between Hartford and Sioux Falls. I also enjoy hunting and fishing with my dad. I am in many activities, which include baseball, golf, the high school play, and improv. I have an older sister named Samantha and older step-brother named Adam. My pets include two dogs named Macy and Jake, and a cat named Hoover.

Wow,
The editor called into Rush’s show to comment on yesterday’s primary election results. I didn’t catch the kid’s name but did catch the website and want to encourage you to keep up the great work. The passion and articulation displayed on the Rush Limbaugh show was unbelievable but heartening to know there are young people who are awake and thinking on their own and rejecting the indoctrination taught in our public school system.
Looking forward to hearing more from you.

Hi Alex – I am looking for the student from your school who just called into Mark Davis (subbing for Rush Limbaugh) on Wednesday, June 9, 2010. Was it you? If not, perhaps you can help me locate him? I didn’t catch his name, only that he was extremely articulate for a 15 year old and provided the address to this school newspaper on-air. Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. – Kevin Kookogey
I heard it as well, very impressive!
Dear Trojan Tribune Staff
I would like to compliment the Trojan Tribune staff member who called the Rush
Limbaugh Show today. Excellent, well poised, and articulate.
I would like to exchange e mail with him… was it Alex Qualm?
I am a retired high school journalism instructor and newspaper staff adviser (30 years!)
Congrats to the Trojan Tribune Staff…you have a neat website. And it sounds like West Central is a well run school.

I, too, heard a young man from the Trojan Tribune staff on the Rush Limbaugh Show today and was very impressed. He was well-spoken and passionate-a great combination.
Great job!

I also heard the 15 year old on the Rush Limbaugh show today and when he provided this web address, I made sure to remember it and look it up. I want to encourage him to keep the passion! When you are passionate about something, keep updated and educated about it, and then you’ll continue to have folks listen up when you talk.
I’m hopeful for the future, when I hear a teenager that isn’t just going with the flow.
Good for you!
Bravo Alex. It was great hearing a fellow South Dakotan speaking to Mark Davis. He has been my favorite talk show host for years now.
Heard you on Rush today! Your passion is very evident. It appears you’re already involved in the process so I encourage you to keep at it. Added a feed to your paper so I’ll keep up with what’s going on at West Central HS.
Regards,
Jay (Washington, DC)

Barbara and I were driving when we heard the phone call to the Limbaugh radio show. We are former Dakotans, Wessington Springs and Astoria, SD. We live in Oklahoma, are educators, and were very impressed with the caliber of student involovement in your school.

Actually, it was Joe Schartz that called in, not Alex.
Look for his stoires: The Man Without a Party, Happy Anniversay Mr. President, Goodbye Guam, and others.
