Just when I was starting to think West Central drama couldn’t get any better—more funny, more graceful, more entertaining—I discovered I was wrong. The drama department’s Saturday night presentation of The Wedding Singer was solid proof.
Last year’s spring musical, Grease, stunned the school and the community, leaving everyone wanting more. On Saturday lines of eager fans started to build before the auditorium doors were opened. Expectations were high this year, and based on the thundering approval of the enchanted audience, they were met with brilliance. Not many get the opportunity to be a star on the stage, but for those who do, the rewards can be infinite. Anna Bahnson, a senior here at West Central, has taken full advantage of that opportunity. For her entire high school career, Anna has been a part of West Central’s choir, and has participated in at least one play or musical per year. Senior Anna Bahnson’s family consists of parents, Banne and Kay, and brothers Grahm and Charlie. She also has five pets—four dogs and one cat. Bahnson is involved in multiple activities including: cross country, track, student council, drama, choir, quiz bowl, oral interp and many more. Some of the things she likes to do in her spare time are hanging out with friends, frisbee golf and playing ping-pong.
